Harold’s Travel Program Article.
Native South African, Harold Schenk has just launched his new Reality Concept involving South African Expatriates. This venture will see Harold visiting South African emigrants and video blogging certain aspects of their lives in their new country.
Well known as music arranger and producer in South Africa, Harold has decided to explore his Nomadic calling. Like so many other South Africans, he has felt that his future might lie elsewhere. While professionals like doctors seem to be favored when it comes to job opportunities, the uncertainty in terms of his profession, has always been a stumbling block in taking the bold step to lift his roots and start again elsewhere.
This led him to the idea to connect with South Africans in foreign countries willing to take him into their homes for a couple of days. During this time he will film aspects of their daily routine, asking questions such as what motivated the family or person to make the move, how they experience it in a new country and what advice and knowledge they have to share to prospective emigrants.
The material will be edited into documentaries that will be posted on a website, to be viewed at any time. On this site prospective emigrants can get insight into the realities of living in a foreign country – the pro’s and the cons. The website will also be an excellent opportunity for businesses to network and advertise their goods or services.
Harold will be responsible for his own travel expenses and will only require board and lodge for the time he visits a family.
